Share your story

Have you had a bad housing experience? You can help Shelter by sharing your story with us.

One of the best ways for Shelter to show just how much change we need for everyone to have a decent and affordable home is through your stories, in your own words.

In our fiftieth year, we’re also looking for stories from Shelter’s history to tell the story of how far we’ve come, and how much more we have left to do. If you, or a friend or family member, has a story to tell from the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s we’d love to hear from them too.

By showing the impact the housing crisis is having on millions of people around the country, we can make government and the media sit up and take notice.

Just tell us a few details and I or one of my colleagues will get in touch to discuss how we might be able to share your experience — through the media, on Shelter’s website or maybe in one of our publications.

We won’t pass your details to anyone else without your permission - everything you tell us is confidential unless you agree otherwise.

Thank you for your support.
